What did Woodrow Wilson have to do with Mother’s Day?

The idea of Mother’s Day caught on very quickly with the public.  On May 8, 1914, United States President Woodrow Wilson signed the proclamation that designated the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day.  Mother’s Day in Canada is also always celebrated on the second Sunday in May.  This year it is May 9th, are you ready?
